Nolvadex: Product overview
Nolvadex also well known as Tamoxifen sold under the brand name. is a selective estrogen receptor modulator used to prevent breast cancer in women and men. It is also being studied for other types of cancer. It has been used for Albright syndrome. Nolvadex binds to estrogen receptors in your body and brain. When it binds to the estrogen receptors in your body, it blocks estrogen in your system from doing anything and any cancer cells that are also trying to bind to the estrogen receptors.
When Nolvadex binds to the estrogen receptors in your brain, it triggers a hormonal response to start increasing sex hormones, which triggers a surge of Gonadotropins (LH and FSH), increasing your testosterone levels. It’s important to note that Nolvadex does not eliminate estrogen from your body; it simply blocks it from binding to estrogen receptors, so you will still have estrogen floating around in your system.
Nolvadex: How Do You Use
Nolvadex should be taken as prescribed by your doctor for the purpose prescribed. For example, if you are looking to use Nolvadex for Post Cycle Therapy (PCT), it may differ from how a breast cancer patient uses the drug.
For PCT, you will need to take it for 3-8 weeks, depending on how long your cycle was, along with a combination of other drugs and supplements for the full benefits.
The standard usage of Nolvadex for PCT is 40mg per day for two weeks, and then 20mg per day for a further two weeks. After that, you should be checking your estrogen and testosterone levels and, if required, a further 10mg per day for weeks 5-8, though this should only be done if needed.
